Red Velvet's Ice Cream Cake

As I said, I'm not a fan of Red Velvet. I'm more into ballads and rap. I didn't find any joy in listening Happiness. I tried more than once over the last half a year and even now, I don't like it.

However, I do play Superstar SM Town and there is where I hear Ice Cream Cake. Except the title, which doesn't appeal to a big audience because it doesn't sound meaningful, the song is not half bad. The melody is interesting and that intro music box sound is good. The songs itself is interesting and as long as you don't know what they're saying, it's perfect.

Now, the MV is a whole new story and people are debating on it. It's the same set and same kind of format as B1A4's Solo Day. The directors are different and the filming itself is a bit different but overall, for the normal common eye it's the same thing. The concept is a bit overused and I think it was better for F(X) (who have been MIA for a while) than Red Velvet. Nothing personal, I have nothing with them, for me it's strictly about their concept and music. But some things seem like are done in spite. Or that's how I see it and that's on the company, not on the artists. I sincerely pity the SM trainees.

The song is interesting and if you listen to it, without seeing the MV, you'll definitely enjoy it. Oh and the dance is good. Yes. Watch the lives.

BEAST Comeback

It's Beast's turn ladies and gentlemen. They came back with "Good Luck" officially. Unofficially, there was "No More". Both songs are pretty good in my opinion. One is slow and has a lot of sincere emotions in it while the other one is more upbeat with a feeling of moving on.

Dongwoon's voice in No More impressed me a little. It sounded so soft and sweet. He doesn't have Yoseob's vocal skills but this song went really well with his voice. In Good Luck, I was really blown away by the beginning. Yoseob's voice is as smooth as ever. To me, it seems that Hyunseung's voice grew up a little, as in he worked on it more.

One thing that impressed me (and does for a while now) is Junhyung. He really evolved as a musician. Lately, there are a lot of collaborations and his songs have a mixed feeling. In short, he matured and he learned how to use his talent in various music genres. He learned how to use different things in music or maybe he knew but only now he got the chance to use them. I don't know if I'm right, but he seems to be a scholar musician. That practically means he studied classical music. I've remarked that in Good Luck too.

I am a sucker for orchestral music. They used it at the beginning of Good Luck and they got me. I really like the song and the idea itself. The MV isn't something to be amazed of but the dance is awesome. It seems simple and smooth, I dunno. I just really enjoy listening and watching Good Luck.

On the other side, I have mixed feelings for No More. It's a good song but they could have done more. The MV was better and from my point of view, it just attracts me more towards Junhyung lol. I also liked the idea of using Instagram. It's gotten very popular in Asia lately.

Anyway, the whole aspect is that, they invested some good money into this comeback.

BTS' Comeback Soon

I CAN'T WAIT!!! I love BTS! I really admire Rap Mon and the rest. I think Jongkook and Zelo are the best and the most talented maknae in the industry right now.

As a fan of BTS I have to say that this teaser is epic and I love it and I am really excited.

BAP's Comeback-Soon

Oh my God, I can't even express my excitement...You have seen the teaser for BAP's new song, correct? Well, it seems some show leaked 32 seconds of the song. I thought it was just another teaser and got super dupper excited about it. Unfortunately, it was just a leak and now I kinda feel bad about watching it. Anyway, it's going to be epic. It seems Jongup and Himchan really worked on their voices. I am very curious how does the rap sound. Agh, so many feelings...

BLOCKTOBER II

They are KILLING me very, oh so, slowly! I was so excited for Zico's teaser, which is awesome and has a lot of feelings to it, and now a teaser for a song from their new album. I swear they are killing me. It's mind blowingly awesome if I dare to say. It sounds really good and badass and everything Block B-ish. I'm looking forward to their comeback stage to actually see them dancing too. But anyway, the teaser expresses exactly what I expect from them. It's something unconventional, breaks any common plot and they look cool.

I laughed my ass off when I saw Zico has his dreads back. It seems Jamaican beggar is coming back and I'm  perfectly fine with it. Also it seems for him, there's a Jamaican beggar+ Zico Sparrow kind of concept. That glass eye definitely makes him look even creepier than he is. But truthfully, that's what I was waiting for. Something completely insane. Looks, attitude, power it's exactly what I love in a boys band and they pull off this image very well. I can't wait for their comeback!

Music to the Ears (G-Dragon- One of a Kind)

G-Dragon is back baby! And he's definitely back with a BIG Bang! Seriously, his song sounds awesome and the MV is really one of a kind. Sincerely, I was waiting for something completely out of the whole K-pop mentality. He looks very gangsta and badass. Him, as an artist, never ceased to amaze me with his songs. However, differently than being with Big Bang, as a solo artist he seems to be more comfortable with amazing the audience. He's doing his own thing, never changed his style, but he definitely evolved.

Now, the MV is very well done and thought. He even used his old costumes from each single, which he broke as a sign of evolving and improvement. For me, the whole video screams what he wants to show the fans that they see him as. Everyone sees him as this sex symbol, everyone's going crazy after what he does, what he wears and of course there are the haters. I do believe half of this song is done especially for them. He's young, he's a fashion icon, he's a talented musician, he's rich and famous. It's a very powerful comeback and if you ask me, I believe he wants to also show freedom. That's something he doesn't really have with all the fans around. I heard how he's cold towards his fans. Whose fault is that? I never heard someone yelling JiYoung oppa but G-Dragon. Also trust, for someone like him, is very important. He said himself how sensible he is and believe me, with the rumours of a plagiarism and that scandal with marijuana, you stop trusting people easily. I'm a VIP and I understand him fully. Also, my favourite out of them all is Seungri so I'm pointing out these things from an outside view. Most of my friends are GD biased but I don't think one of them would ever lose their faith and trust into what  he is, as a whole.

Now, like I said, the message is clear. He's one of a kind, one artist/man who knows what he's doing and ain't going to change or stop his personality. But, like I said above, he shows the image of G-Dragon not the image of Kwon JiYoung. Besides that, the song is definitely like a slap in the face.

I'm really happy with how the song and MV turned out, I liked that adorable baby bear and adorable baby tiger, I like the song a lot and he's very courageous.
